macOS Monterey problem?

macOS Monterey problem?

Apple released macOS monterey to the public 3 weeks ago. But after 3 weeks some consumers claimed that they are facing some problems. Some are facing so much problem that they had installed macOS Big Sur anyway. In this post I will show my user experience. If it differs from you then you can leave comment here.

First of all the problems those are commonly seen:

Battery Backup:

I am getting lower battery backup from macOS Big Sur in my macbook pro M1. I usually got 10 hours battery backup while using safari, spotify and other stock apps. But when i used final cut pro or adobe premiere pro it would drop to 4-5 hours. But its was normal because editing needs more and more power to operate. But in monterey when i use final cut pro sometimes the backside becomes so warm and i get less battery backup than beefore. Sometimes the screen on time falls down to 3 hours even! Which is my major concern.

The Good things are:

UI Navigation and animation:

So far i didn't notice any lags or hickups. The transition animations are so much accurate and smooth on my macbook pro m1. Though sometime the animations lags on my macbook pro from 2015. But i understand that this machine is now 6 years old. And Apple actually made Monterey more futuristics.

Video Randering:

Actually I use Final Cut pro for video editing. It is very smooth in the 1080p timline weather you are using multiple layer of footages or not. But in 4k timelie after adding 2-3 layers of iphone 4k videos it sometimes lags. And maainly the problem is when you pause and play the timeline several times the hiccups comes out. But in the time of exporting there is no issues. And I sometimes got smaller render time than big sur in my macbook pro m1!

Ram Management:

In my macbook pro m1, I use tons of apps. 10-12 chrome and safari tabs are open while doing research and writing plus apple music or spotify plays all the time, final cut pro is sometimes open for video editing, sometimes pycharm is open with emulators. But i don't face any issues. But while multitasking the back sides gets hot. But its normal nothing serious.

But in the case of my macbook pro form 2015, the ram management is not up to the mark. There is lags and hickups here and there.

Finally I think Apple needs to launch another upgrade to solve the issues. Hopefully they will in the mid November.
